Today I decided to take the design challenge to find a Wapuu that I like rather than writing a blog about a specific topic. For this, I decided on the Accessipuu. Although I picked the Accessipuu as my first choice, I feel I need to still mention a second Wapuu called the Accessibility Wapuu although it’s an Accessibility pin design rather than just Wapuu.
Accessipuu
The accessipuu (shown below) was designed by Joe A. Simpson, Jr. and discovered for the San Fernando Valley, California WordPress Community and a three-Meetup event celebrating the first WordPress Accessibility Day, Oct 2-3, 2020. A hero for Accessibility, this wapuu fights trolls and advocates for good #a11y.
Accessibility Wapuu
The Accessibility pin version of a Wapuu (shown below) recognizes the people who ensure that WordPress is accessible for all users. You don’t need to be an accessibility expert or core contributor to focus on #a11y, building accessible websites and publishing accessible content with WordPress is just as important.
First appearing at WordCamp US 2016, Dec 1st, 2016, this Wapuu was created by Marktime Media & GoDaddy.
